COVID Safety Protocols

  • Face masks that cover your mouth and nose MUST be worn at all times. When going outside to take a drink is not an option, you may remove your mask very briefly to take a sip and then immediately replace it.

  • Keep a minimum of 6 ft of distance between you and others while at the club.

  • All personal gear must be taken home after every training session. Any club equipment used must be sanitized before placing back on the racks.

  • If you don’t feel well, please don’t come to practice.

  • If you know you’ve been exposed to someone with COVID-19, don’t come to practice and let Coach Brian know. If you have tested positive, let Coach Brian know right away so we can manage any further actions.

  • There are wipes, disinfectant spray, and hand sanitizer available for all to use. Frequent handwashing/hand sanitizer is encouraged.

  • The lounge is off limits as is the little bathroom. Those spaces are too close to be able to ensure safe distances. Use the large bathroom at the end of the hallway.

Fencing Rules

  • Salutes only for lessons and bouts. Additional blade taps are fine as well. No handshakes.

  • Make sure your face mask still covers your nose and mouth while you’re bouting, no matter the weapon.

  • No yells, screams, or loud vocalizations.

  • Fleching and intentional infighting are permitted again. However, you can still use this opportunity to train with every target in front of you and broaden your repertoires with distances and timing.
